Today I made my first attempt at leading the morning karakia at mat time, I was grateful for Donna's support by my side. I'm glad I found the courage to try as I had been feeling quite anxious about it and explained to our tamariki that I am learning and that I needed to go slow. Once I finished Christian told me I did well and that I just needed to speed it up! This made us all laugh and I told him that yes that was my aim that I will be working towards. I think its important that our tamariki see us trying, learning and making mistakes as this is exactly what we expect of them.
