To research what planning looks like in a play based classroom

  • I will have increased my knowledge of my local context tikanga history and languages and consciously use this knowledge to enrich the learning of Maori and all akonga (1)
  • I will have introduced children to a wide range of multi medium experiences so that children are able to represent their thinking and knowledge in increasingly creative ways. (4)
  • Inquiry Question: How do I apply a place-based education approach to enrich the learning of all ākonga. (2)

By November 2016

  • I will have further developed skills and knowledge using technology to enable me to create multimedia presentations for use in the documentation of children’s learning. (5)
  • I will have greater knowledge and understanding of Tataiako so that the cultural competencies within this document are more visible in my daily practice and documentation. (8)
